This is a scan for those that want the very best scan. We use two ICG Drum Scanners with 9 focal Apertures, the smallest going down to 3 microns to deliver incredibly sharp scans. These scanners were solely designed for Fine Art scanning and are well known for being the finest drum scanners ever produced.
They are no longer in production and scarce to find as well as operators who know how to get the best from these scanners, having run ICG scanners for over 15 years we know how to maintain and produce the best scans out of these legendary machines.
Please note we use KAMI 2000 Drum Mounting Oil to fluid mount our scans as well as SDS Anti Newton Oil in a Slick Mount Drum, Kami 2001 Anti-Static Film Cleaner is also used.
Drum Scans take time, your originals are prepped ready for mounting onto the drum, we use Mylar foils and Tesa tape to mount the originals sandwiched between a layer of mounting fluid, it then spins on the drum up to 1700rpm and can take up to 45mins just for one scan, after which the file is checked for colour accuracy and further cleaned by hand in photoshop ready for the client.
Prices below are guidelines we usually scan to deliver either 200meg files or 450meg files, being in the print industry we believe you will rarely require any larger files, but if you do we can scan up to 2gb+ images if required, we can scan up to 12000dpi
